Kiln-Dried Lumber
The original tree planting initiative, to supplement the areas of virgin forest on the property, began in 1982 and has continued under the authority of the very first Private Forest Development Agreement of its kind in the country issued in 1992. Officials of the Philippine Department of Environment and Natural Resources routinely audit the operation and catalog all planted forests, as well as inventory nursery and seedling propagation to ensure compliance with the standards of sustainable forestry.
This project is the largest of its kind in the Philippines, and the only one of substance with its own milling, marketing and export capabilities. This allows for traceability, and an intact chain of custody, for this product from seedling propagation to the end user.
In addition to Mahogany, significant numbers of Acacia (Samanea Saman) and Giant Ipil-Ipil (Leucaena leucocephala) trees, with smaller quantities of Teak (Tectona grandis), Narra (Pterocarpus indicus), Spanish Cedar (Cedrela odorata) and others, have been cultivated and are available for distribution upon request.
